CTC to In-Hand Salary Calculator
Estimate monthly in-hand salary from annual CTC after PF, tax and professional tax.
Before you convert
CTC is not the same as take-home salary. This calculator turns annual CTC into an estimated monthly in-hand amount after common deductions such as PF, professional tax and income tax.

Formula and Methodology
Monthly gross is annual CTC divided by 12. Basic salary is estimated from the selected basic percentage. Employee PF, professional tax and monthly income tax are deducted from monthly gross.
Annual in-hand is estimated monthly in-hand multiplied by 12.
Annual in-hand is estimated monthly in-hand multiplied by 12.
Worked Example
Example: For a ₹12,00,000 CTC with 40% basic, 12% PF, ₹200 professional tax and ₹60,000 annual tax, the calculator estimates monthly deductions and take-home salary.

How to use this result
Use the result to compare options, ask better questions and avoid judging only by the headline number. If a fee, GST amount, deduction or assumption changes, update the input and calculate again.

When this calculator is useful
Use this while evaluating a new job offer, salary revision or campus placement package. CTC can include employer PF, bonuses, insurance, gratuity and variable pay, so the monthly in-hand salary may feel very different from the headline annual number.

Common mistakes to avoid
Do not treat CTC as take-home pay. Check basic salary percentage, employee PF, professional tax, income tax, variable pay and one-time benefits separately. If the offer includes bonus or performance pay, calculate both expected and conservative monthly in-hand salary before accepting.

India-specific notes
Indian salary structures vary by employer and state. Professional tax, PF treatment, tax regime choice and deductions can change take-home salary. Use the offer letter or salary breakup for inputs, then compare the result with payroll or HR confirmation before making a final decision.
